Can dogs and cats eat Cheese?

Cheese is not toxic, but it is fatty and salty and many pets digest lactose poorly. Small pieces as treats are usually fine.

Good to know

Low-fat, low-salt cheeses in small amounts are best. Avoid cheeses with garlic, onion, herbs or blue mould. Not recommended for cats as a regular treat.
